Rag Factory Exhibition....
Last week we entered some pieces into an impromptu exhibition at the Rag Factory, off Brick Lane.
'ForSee-Arts of Mind' was a mixed media exhibition of established/up and coming artists ranging from paintings, filmakers, sculpture to photography, who came together to raise awareness of Parkinson’s disease. The exhibition collected one piece donated by each artist/photographer to be auctioned off on closing night to raise funds for Parkinsons UK Charity.
Here is the lovely organiser, Jessica Sarah, who did a great job organising the whole exhibition as part of her degree course:
Here are our pieces we entered (it's a shame that the bottom one hasn't come out that great but in-situ it looked really good, honest!!):
Here are some of the other artists:
Including Neil Benjamin, whose work I loved, you could stand for hours looking at it and still find something new in there... See more of his work on his website to get a better idea as I forgot to take my nice camera so these really don't do the work much justice!!
and here was some great work by new and upcoming illustrator Lucy Wragg:

Fame at last....
Just a quick word of thanks to everyone who came to support us at the Wanstead Art and Craft Fair on Saturday. It was such a lovely day so it was great to see so many people wandering in and out.
So fame at last, even though I am a granny, with my work being featured on the Embroiders Guild website. For more information about the exhibition click here.
Also on there are the Marottes by my friend Jill Birleson.

Another one for your diaries....
The next E17 Designers' market has been booked for Friday 13th May so make sure to put it in your diaries. Spring is one of my favourite seasons, as I get fed up with all of the black, grey and brown colours that surround us in Winter along comes Spring with an abundance of colour and suddenly everything seems happy and cheerful. So pop along and make sure to see an abundance of colour that is sure to lift the spirits......
