'Inspired by Morris' starts this week end.....

Make sure to pop along to the start of a great new exhibition, starting this week end and running until Christmas at the William Morris gallery. 50 artists have taken inspiration from the legendary William Morris from textile artists, ceramics and even film makers. So pop along and see how the artistic legacy of Morris still lives on through modern contemporary artists today.

The exhibition has also been selected as part of the Story of London 2010

Plus my mum's piece got selected, which always makes me proud to see her work hanging in an exhibition.

Here's a reminder of her amazing work.....

Just a big thank you to.....

all my students this year who have definitely worked hard from the Level one to the Level three and I am very proud and pleased to say that everyone passed.

I have really enjoyed this year and the students have made it such a great class to teach.

Here are some of the photos of their fantastic work, sorry about the quality but I forgot my camera and used my phone so if any of my students have better photos please send them to me and I will post them up to share with everyone.

Next year will be different as there is no funding for City and Guilds Level 2 and 3 so I am only teaching Level 1 and a new course for me called N.C.F.E, which looks really good fun and I can’t wait.

As well as drawings, paintings, pottery, textiles, sculptures, jewellery and photography work being available for purchase there will be a chance to take part in a variety of inspiring free art workshops.

Come and meet me at chestnuts house. I will be there all day with work to sell and shall be offering free classes using transfer paint and hand sewing. This is a great little taster for anyone interested in creative textiles. If it’s a good day we will venture out into the sunshine and will be sewing out in the grounds all day.

Queens Theatre Exhibition...

Hi there,

We've been really busy at the moment with our latest exhibition 'i am at the queens'. Go along and have a peek when you are free to see our latest work in the relaxing atmosphere of the Queens Theatre foyer. It's a great place to meet friends for lunch, food is very tasty, or to have a drink in the evening. On Sunday lunch times they even have a jazz session for a very chilled Sunday afternoon!
